Lahore indeed symbolizes the decades old yearning and struggle of the Muslims of the sub-continent for the creation of Pakistan and ever since, has been in the forefront to provide leadership to country in various facets of national life.

The establishment of the City District Government under the recently interduced a governance mechanism represents, empowerment of people and accountable management. The City District Government Lahore has accordingly pioneered this initiative in three languages i.e. Urdu, Punjabi and English to ensure efficient, cost effective and transparent working of the City Government apparatus and its access to the people.

The primary purpose of this Web Site is to disseminate information on policies, programmes, projects and action plans of the City Government, elicit public response and pave the way for establishing effective e-government geared to early resolution of the problems and grievances of the people. The Web Site, inter-alia, embodies objectives, functions, structures and services provided by the City Government Departments and various forms, required by the people for specific purposes. These forms can be retrieved from the Web Site, thus, saving the public from inconvenience of visiting the offices in person.
